The Awaited ‘Traitor’ Yoon Kyun Sang, Made A 5 Minutes Appearance As Hong Gil Dong
30th of January was the premiere of MBC’s drama, ‘Rebel: Who Stole the People’. This drama tells the story of Hong Gil Dong and his father, Amogae. The first episode tells the story of young Hong Gil Dong and the most crucial part in Amogae’s life.
The bloody fight between Hong Gil Dong and Yeon San (Kim Ji Suk) for Jang Nok Soo (Lee Ha Ni) made both Hong Gil Dong and Jang Nok Soo really nervous. Moreover, Ka Ryung’s (Chae Soo Bin) eyes were closed and she was tied to a pole which also made Hong Gil Dong felt sorry for her. Ka Ryung told Hong Gil Dong, “If you turn around because of me, I don’t want to see you ever again”.
Then came the scene of Hong Gil Dong and Yeon San who asked him whether he could hand over the kingdom.
Hong Gil Dong laughed, “I am a descendant of the royal family of Goryeo, the son of a minister, not the son of a nobleman. I am just a son of my father. My father is Ssi Jong Amogae”.
He then said to the puzzled Yeon San, “You are the son of a God, you came from the heaven, can’t you become more respectable?”. The adult version of Hong Gil Do only lasted for five minutes, but it gathered a lot of attention and curiosity from the audience.
